Liar, Liar...

We have been in a battle with our builders (Southeastern) to have our roads paved for over a year now. Our roads are still in the construction-phase..except worse. We have man-holes that stick up 4-6 inches (literally). One will drag the bottom of your car if you straddle it! Construction has been finished for over a year now, and Southeastern has promised time and time again that the new roads would be done in a month, two months, three months...you get the picture. They kept blaming the city, who had clearly done their part in the matter (and could prove it). Well, fortunately, MY husband was elected on the first HOA board a few months back. I have watched him make weekly phone calls (arguments rather) with Southeastern, The City, and construction companies. This week, he even called a few attorneys to file suit against them. However, (insert glorious praise) yesterday we got the call that the roads will begin paving NEXT WEEK! If this doesn't come to pass, we will be contacting the local news stations and the attorneys, but it is really looking up. We even called the paving company who confirmed the work order. SO exciting! Good work Dover. Now, on to the next battles...street lights... and landscaping.
