Christmas Morning

This morning was AMAZING! When Mason woke up, we took him downstairs to show him his overflowing stocking (that Santa filled) and the cookie that Santa took a bite out of. Then we took him to his presents. He tore a little paper, then got bored. When he realized a toy was inside, he smiled so big and laughed out loud. Toy after toy...same reaction. It was so sweet. He got a toy Dyson vacuum cleaner, firetruck, pots and pans, a spinning turtle, laptop, magna doodle, coloring books, building blocks, and a leap frog toy. Then we ate homemade sticky buns and hot chocolate (or warm chocolate for Mase). We each said an emotional prayer of thanks (out loud) to God for sending his precious son because he loves us. Then we headed to Emmy and PawPaws for another breakfast. I took them each their favorite flavored cappuccino and then we sat down for gifts again. I got some ridiculously cool boots. Mason got an Elmo Live, which he LOVES. He also got a karaoke machine that shows him on the big screen, and a fridge alphabet learning system. We then headed home for a family nap. We still have Christmas to spend with Nana and Grandad tomorrow morning. This was a beautiful Christmas for us. I am extremely overwhelmed with emotion at the thought of Jesus' birthday. Happy Birthday Jesus!
