McCain/Obama Interviews

Tonight, 60 Minutes televised separate interviews with McCain and Obama. I was very pleased with their coverage of this. It seemed, to me, very un-sided and presented very equal questions. McCain did very well. He represented himself as honest, humble, realistic, and wasted little-to-no time attacking Obama's campaign. He proposed his plans on leading America, as well as explaining how. Even when asked tough questions, such as, "You only met Palin twice before adding her to your campaign?" He answered that he had watched her, her voting record, and her as a leader. I was pleased to know that he is electing his team based on actual results/records. So many get caught up in who they "like" or "dislike" or who "speaks well". Can you imagine how honest an election would be if we all focused on voting records and results as opposed to speaking engagements, race, and gender! Obama, in my opinion, seemed very uncomfortable. He spent most of his first interview repeating the questions, promising things-without any explanation as to how, and was extremely prideful and arrogant, attacking McCain's campaign (and not very well might I add). At one point, he was asked, "Why you? You haven't lead anything. Why should you lead our country?" When Obama avoided the actual question, he was interrupted and again questioned, "But why you?" Obama seemed angry at this, explaining that he "was getting to that". In case you were all wondering, we should trust him as president because he knows how to mediate disagreements (was his answer). There is no question that I am in support of McCain/Palin's campaign, for a campaign that gets our country one step closer to the Godly values/morals/ethics we were built upon. This is simply my opinion of these interviews (my blog). I would encourage you to watch them yourself, and no matter which side you are voting for, please pray for our country and this election!
